MyIQTested is a free, research-backed cognitive assessment. Our goal is simple: let anyone get a credible estimate of their general cognitive ability in about fifteen minutes — without a sign-up, a paywall, or a single line of personal data leaving their browser.
The questions
The test draws on the International Cognitive Ability Resource (ICAR), an open framework developed by researchers led by William Revelle at Northwestern University. ICAR items are peer-reviewed, freely available for scientific and educational use, and have been validated across thousands of participants. They measure reasoning across four domains — abstract, verbal, numerical, and spatial — rather than trivia or cultural knowledge.
How we score
Your raw score is mapped to the familiar IQ scale (mean 100, standard deviation 15) and translated into a percentile and a per-domain profile. All of this happens locally, in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
An honest limit
This is an educational screening tool, not a clinical assessment. A formal evaluation administered one-on-one by a licensed psychologist remains the gold standard and accounts for factors an online test cannot. Treat your result as a well-informed estimate, not a diagnosis.
